On December 29, 2021, The cogdel school family of Cogdel Education Group added a new member, and Wuhan Kangli High School, which was first upgraded by the International Department of Wuhan No.6 Middle School, was officially established.

The press conference of Wuhan Kangli High School (preparation) and the Principal Forum of Chinese and foreign Famous Schools were held simultaneously on the same day.

Wuhan Kangli Senior High School is a new attempt in private education by Cogdel Education Group and Craig School, after Changsha Kangli Craig School. It is another step in the overall upgrading of Wuhan No.6 Middle School, the international department of Cogdel Education Group. The school is located at No. 25, Hangcheng East Road, Panlong City Economic Development Zone, Huangpi District, Wuhan city, covering an area of 51.6 mu, with an investment of 600 million yuan and a full staff of 1,200 people. It was scheduled to open in September 2022. It offers a dual-track system with multiple international entrance paths. The school is led by Mr. Ma Deyu, the former principal of Wuhan No.6 Middle School, inherits and develops the ten-year history, school traditions, educational concepts, and management systems of Wuhan No.6 Middle School's international department, and combines the essence of Chinese and Western educational ideas to become a leading international school in Wuhan, a first-class school in the country, and a world-renowned school, focusing on cultivating international talents with Chinese feelings and a global vision.

Mr. Sun Xiaobing, the former director of the Ministry of Education's Policy Department, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He believed that "the Party and the government's policy control over private education will lead to the benign development of private education. Wuhan Kangli Senior High School (preparation), upgraded from a public high school with a political orientation to a private dual-track boarding high school, may contribute significantly to promoting high-level education opening-up in Wuhan and facilitating educational exchanges."
