On December 9th, a delegation led by Su Hua (Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Vice Chairman of the China Vocational Education Association, and Chairman of Sichuan Modern Education Group) visited Cogdel Education Group. The delegation also included Yue Zhan (President of Sichuan Times Bowen Education Science and Technology Research Institute), Zhao Yonghong (Advisor to Sichuan Modern Education Group), Li Xianzhong (Director and Party Secretary of Deyang Foreign Language School), Hu Bolin (Director and Principal of Zhongjiang Jiguang Experimental School), and Wu Yan (Director and Principal of Sichuan Modern Science and Technology Vocational School), for an in-depth and forward-looking inspection and exchange activity.

The first stop of the visit was Chengdu No.7 High School International Department, a crucial benchmark of Cogdel Education Group in the field of international departments of public high schools. Founded in 1999, it is not only the starting point of Cogdel's international education development but also one of the earliest middle school international departments established in China, with profound experience in integrating Chinese and Western curricula and cultivating international talents.

Accompanied by Wang Shu (Chairman of Cogdel Education Group) and relevant responsible persons, the delegation from Sichuan Modern Education Group visited the campus in depth, conducted on-site inspections, and exchanged views on the international operation of basic education and talent training. The guests were deeply impressed by the distinctive school-running characteristics of the international department.

Adhering to the training goal of "Global Vision, Chinese Roots," the international department has constructed a unique IHS International High School Integrated Curriculum System. With strong faculty and high-quality small-class teaching, the international department has achieved remarkable results, ranking among the top in authoritative rankings such as Hurun Education · Top 100 International Schools in China. In the 2026 application season, it has so far received 11 interview invitations from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, and many students have obtained offers from well-known overseas universities such as Imperial College London, universities in Hong Kong, University College London, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Melbourne.

Shi Min (Director and Acting President of Cogdel Education Group) systematically introduced the group's 28 years of development accumulation and strategic layout to the guests. Since its establishment in 1997, the group has evolved from initially operating international departments of public schools into a comprehensive educational institution, covering businesses such as cooperative school-running, independent brand school operation, international curriculum research and development, and vocational education internationalization. It has formed an "all-dimensional" international education model that connects basic education, higher education, and vocational education.

Later, Sichuan Modern Education Group introduced its general situation. As a large-scale professional education group approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, it focuses on vocational education and covers preschool education, basic education, higher education, and adult education. Centering on the theme of "international education," the discussion covered the entire industrial chain, including the co-construction of integrated curricula and joint teacher training in basic education, the introduction of professional standards and the construction of Chinese standards in vocational education, the development of overseas further study and employment channels, and international project cooperation in higher education.

Sichuan Modern Education Group paid close attention to Cogdel's construction of a two-way channel of "bringing in and going out" in vocational education internationalization, as well as its efforts in aligning with and exploring international standards. Both parties also conducted practical exchanges on issues such as large-scale vocational education operation and localized development, learning from each other's practical experience in their respective fields.

In the future, the two education groups will fully integrate Cogdel's international platforms, curriculum systems, and global networks in basic education, higher education, and vocational education, as well as Sichuan Modern Education Group's solid school-running foundation and localized practices.
