The President of Cogdel Group Met Bush Family in Houston

January 25 was a perfect sunny winter day in Houston. Mr. Wang Shu, the President of The Cogdel Group, chose this very day to meet with Mr. Neil Bush in a quiet and elegant country club. The morning aroma of the country roses and the quiet setting led Mr. Wang Shu easily to his meeting site. In no time, Mr. Neil Bush came and both parties greeted each other with a firm handshake.

Conversation started with the letter former president Gorge Bush wrote to Wang Shu with his original signature in March 2018. This led naturally to the topic on leadership and its essence. Neil introduced the mission of BCSL and how former President Gorge Bush and his wife Barbara Bush established BCSL and the ISLP program in Houston Christian High School as the first and only leadership program in high schools in the U.S. Neil appreciates what Cogdel has done as the exclusive partners of the ISLP program in China. Neil thanked Wang Shu for the efforts and achievements for its first year’s result of the ISLP program rollout and how much he looks forward to the future.

Wang Shu expressed his gratefulness that he feels honored for Cogdel’s privilege to be the exclusive partner for the ISLP program in China. He shared his vision and the blue print of the BCSL leadership program development in China in not only Cogdel schools but also non-Cogdel schools. Wang Shu also made high remarks on leadership spirit of the Bush family as a role model for generations to follow.

Along with Neil and Wang Shu, Houston Christian High School’s school master Dr. Steve Livingston also attended the discussion. Meeting concluded with a high note by Neil’s vision on new initiatives of how both organizations can work together.
