Day1

Granada Hills Charter High School

On Jan. 29th, Cogdel Education Principal Team formed by Cogdel Management, Academic Principals, and Operation Principals have visited GHC (Grananda Hills Charter High School). Ms. Dilmit Singh（Chief Academic Officer）and her colleagues extended a warm welcome to Cogdel representatives. All members had a pleasant campus tour which was led by Dr. Sage (Academic Director) and Ms. Lori (Admission Director) and everyone was attracted by the mission and academic atmosphere of GHC. Cogdel Education Group is very likely to establish cooperation with GHC this year and both sides will jointly provide Chinese students with better international education.

Granada Hills Charter High School (often called "GHCHS" or "Granada") is an independent charter school consisting of over 4,700 students in grades 9–12, located in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Granada Hills. It currently holds the record as the top comprehensive public senior high school in Los Angeles and the largest charter school in the nation. Granada also has a high Academic Performance Index (API) score of 878, which greatly exceeds the target API score of 800 for all schools in California. On April 12, 2011, Granada was named a 2011 California Distinguished School. On December 22, 2011, Granada became an International Baccalaureate World School. Since 2011, the school has won five National Academic Decathlon Championships.

Day2

Pepperdine University

On Jan. 30th, Cogdel Education Principal Team arrived at Pepperdine-Cogdel International Leadership Institute to receive a 4-day Leadership Training. The first lesson was Cultural Competency and Leadership given by Dr. Cain (Professor, Graduate School of Education and Psychology). Through teamwork, theory interpretation, and case study, everyone was absorbed in the lesson and enlightened by Dr. Cain.
