Fifteen years is long enough for generations of students to step from campus onto the world stage. Fifteen years is long enough for educational visions to bear fruitful outcomes. As spring unfolds a new chapter in 2026, Wuhan Textile University paid a visit to Cogdel Education Group. As educational partners with 15 years of in-depth collaboration, the two sides gathered to chart a new blueprint for the future.

On February 5, a delegation from Wuhan Textile University, led by Zhao Libin, Secretary of the School of Management, Wu Jinhong, Executive Dean of the School of Management, Zhang Fei, Vice Dean, and key specialty teachers, visited Cogdel Education Group. Mr. Shi Min, Director & Executive President of the Group, together with core team members including Liu Hua, General Manager of the Marketing Department, Guo Yang, Director of the Faculty Development Center, Tang Lingyun, Administrative Director, and Kang Shasha, General Manager of the Higher Education Division, extended a warm reception.

From Educational Aspiration to a Benchmark in Talent Development

In 2012, Wuhan Textile University and Cogdel Education (with its subsidiary KaiBo Education) joined hands under the shared vision of “cultivating high-end international accounting and finance talents”, launching the joint development of the Accounting (ACCA-oriented) program.

Over fifteen years, this partnership has gone far beyond curriculum collaboration, evolving step by step toward “full-scenario talent cultivation”. The fertile educational ground rooted in industry expectations and educational aspirations has yielded remarkable achievements:

Talent Excellence: More than 1,000 professionals with international vision have been jointly cultivated, with graduates employed across the Big Four accounting firms, renowned enterprises and financial institutions worldwide.

Academic Distinction: The global pass rate of ACCA examinations has consistently exceeded the global average, with numerous honorary awards secured.

Brand Influence: The Accounting (ACCA-oriented) program has become a flagship featured major at Wuhan Textile University. The school has successively been honored as an “ACCA Outstanding University” and a “Pioneer Unit for Innovation in International Finance and Economics Talent Cultivation”. In 2025, it won the 16th ACCA National University Education Forum – ACCA Excellent Education Award, becoming a prominent benchmark for international accounting and finance education in Central China.

Wuhan Textile University is among the first batch of universities selected for the National Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Central and Western Regions, a pilot university for the Outstanding Engineers Training Program of the Ministry of Education, and a key university under Hubei’s “First-class Domestic Disciplines” initiative. Founded in response to the call for revitalizing China’s national light industry, the university traces its origins to Wuhan Institute of Textile Technology established in 1958. It was renamed Wuhan University of Science and Engineering in 1999 and Wuhan Textile University in 2010.

Jointly Upgrading International Accounting & Finance Talent Cultivation

Building on past achievements, the dialogue focused on future breakthroughs. Today, technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence are driving profound changes in the pathways of financial value creation. Against this tide, both parties leveraged their core strengths to plan an innovative and upgraded path for international accounting and finance talent development.

Secretary Zhao Libin of the School of Management, Wuhan Textile University, stated during the dialogue that the school will continue to deepen the university-enterprise collaborative mechanism based on the 15-year solid partnership with Cogdel Education. The two sides will jointly develop curriculum systems, strengthen faculty teams, and build and share practical platforms, so as to precisely align educational resources with industry demands and synchronize talent cultivation with the progress of the times.

Subsequently, Executive Dean Wu Jinhong emphasized that the School will uphold the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, gather development momentum through collaborative education, and empower student growth through innovative practices, striving to cultivate more interdisciplinary talents with both global vision and commitment to the nation.

At this historical juncture, Mr. Shi Min, Director & Executive President of Cogdel Education Group, stressed that the development boundaries of the accounting and finance industry are constantly expanding, with traditional models and new ecosystems colliding and integrating. Going forward, Cogdel Education will uphold its multi-dimensional talent cultivation philosophy and strengthen the core competitiveness of interdisciplinary accounting and finance professionals.

He stated that relying on its international platform resources and 29 years of experience in international education, Cogdel Education Group will fully support the optimization and upgrading of featured majors at Wuhan Textile University, promote the quality improvement and innovation of the talent training system, and continuously explore more flexible, diversified and innovative cooperation models. The two sides will join forces in curriculum co-construction, faculty co-development and platform sharing to consolidate the foundation of discipline development, enhance talent training quality, and jointly build high-level disciplines and talent hubs with international competitiveness.

Through this in-depth exchange, the two sides further deepened mutual understanding and trust. During the dialogue, Cogdel Education shared its strategic layout and future development directions in international education, while gaining a clearer understanding of Wuhan Textile University’s discipline development needs and talent cultivation vision.

This deep mutual understanding laid a solid foundation for expanding more diversified cooperation channels, including interdisciplinary joint training, co-building international exchange programs, and sharing industry resources. It steadily advanced university-enterprise collaboration from a single-major partnership to an all-round strategic relationship, building a new international education ecosystem that keeps pace with the times and connects with the world.

Taking this exchange as a new starting point, the two sides will work hand in hand to solve challenges in educational development through innovative practices and gather strength for talent cultivation through collaboration. With a more open attitude and more practical measures, they will jointly explore new models of university-enterprise cooperation, empower the cultivation of more high-quality talents with global vision and local roots, and write a new chapter in advancing the high-quality development of China’s international education and promoting an open and cooperative educational landscape under the vision of building a global community of shared future.
