CERNET Cooperated With Cogdel to Launch New International Programs on MAIA

On Monday November 12th, Cogdel founder and President Mr. Wang Shu met with Mr. Zhu Yidong, President of CERNET. Mr. Wang visited CERNET's spacious campus and facility with 150 acres in MAIA (Massachusetts International Academy). The facility is equivalence of a small college that can accommodate over 400 students and residents. It has its own dorm rooms, boarding facilities, classrooms, offices, lecture halls, conference rooms, labs, cooking and dining centers, gym, dancing rooms, an indoor basketball court and an outdoor tennis court.  The MAIA campus is also authorized by ETS as a TOEFL test center.

 


Both leaders inked cooperation agreement to launch new international programs on secondary education and higher education on MAIA ground in order to enrich international education experience.  They also laid out blue prints for the joint programs for the future for both organizations. The discussed peaked with how the programs will benefit Chinese students.

 

Meetings ended productive and discussions in harmony. New programs are expected to roll out in Summer 2019 and fall 2020.

On September 21, Mr. Zhu Yidong (President of Cernet Education) and Mr. Wang Shu (President of Cogdel Education Group) signed an MOU in Beijing to endorse strategic cooperation between the two parties in terms of establishing US Pathway Program Center, developing in-depth research of integrated courses and teachers’ training courses, as well as K12 international school in the future.
