Chengdu No.7 High School

Profile

Established in 1905, Chengdu No. 7 High School is a well-known school in China and even the world, with over one hundred years’ history. It is an important origin of students of top universities, e.g. Peking University and Tsinghua University, in southwest China. According to an investigation done by an American authoritative academic organization, Chengdu No. 7 High School ranks 7th among middle schools in China. In 2014, U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama once visited the school. As early as 1999, Cogdel Group worked with Chengdu No. 7 High School to run an International Department.

With 19 years’ history, the International Department of Chengdu No. 7 High School has achieved remarkable fruits in respect of quality education resource introduction, integrated international curricula R&D, and service for studying abroad. It has been deemed as a model international department by lots of well-known key middle schools in China. The International Department teaches students overseas university undergraduate bridging programs and credit transfer curricula to help students be academically eligible for studying abroad, have a comprehensive adaptability, and complete the transition from Chinese-style education to western-style education.

Achievements

In the past 19 years, the school sent more than 3,000 outstanding graduates to more than 60 universities in the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada. More than 1,000 students have completed their overseas study and returned to China. Now they are making a contribution to China’s development.
